American Disposal Services is the company that manages waste for the community. Contact their customer service department at (703) 368-0500 if you have any questions. For easy reference, our account number is 007739.

Trash and recycling must be at curbside by 6:00 AM on collection days (but not before 6:00 PM the night before) in order to be picked up. All trash should be put into a black plastic trash bag or a trash container and sealed up tightly to prevent the wind from blowing it open or from critters getting into it.

Trash Pickup - Monday/Thursday

Household waste only, no construction or remodeling waste. No Household Hazardous waste (paint, pesticides, oil, gas, antifreeze, corrosive chemicals, etc.). For more information on Household Hazardous waste, contact the Prince William County Office of Solid Waste at (703) 792-6254.

Recycling Pickup - Monday

Acceptable items include: newspapers (bundled, in paper bags, or in a separate recycling container); glass, food & beverage containers; aluminum & steel cans; #1 & #2 plastic bottles and jugs. Plastic containers used for insecticides, herbicides, petroleum products, or automotive fluids are not acceptable. No plastic bags please.

Yard Debris - Monday/Thursday

Grass clippings & leaves should be bagged. Brush & limbs should be bundled. Limbs should not exceed four feet in length and three inches in diameter. Items that are bagged or gundled are not to exceed 50 lbs. Concrete, bricks, blocks & dirt are not acceptable.

Bulk Items - Thursday

Please notify customer service at (703) 368-0500 at least 24 hours in advance when putting out bulk items. The trash company will not pick up large items such as couches, desks or mattresses unless you call and schedule a special pick-up. There may be an additional charge for the pick-up.

Christmas Tree Recycling

Trees will be collected on Thursdays during the month of January each year. All decorations, tinsel, garland, etc. must be removed from trees. Do not place trees in plastic bags.

Container Storage

ALL trash and recycling containers must be stored inside the garage or in the backyard on non-trash days. Containers must be removed from the curb as promptly as possible on the day of pick-up. Trash should not be brought out to the curb any earlier than 6:00 PM the night before trash day and no later than 6:00 AM on the day of pick-up, as the trucks may come early (this includes special pick-up items, like mattresses and couches).

Holidays

American Disposal Services does not operate on Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's Days. Your trash and/or recycling will be picked up on the next scheduled collection day.

Inclement Weather

Trash collection will be suspended in areas which American Disposal Service deems unsafe due to snow or ice, or at a time when weather has deteriorated to the point where conditions are deemed unsafe. Other Information

The Virginia Property Owners Act allows for the assessment of penalties for non-compliance with the rules stated above. Further violations may result in a $50.00 penalty charge against the violator. Please keep our community clean!
